Paving for General Contractors & Developers
Summit Surface Partners is expanding local paving capacity for commercial, development and private-road projects in Northwest Montana. Send plans, quantities, bid date and schedule requirements so the team can confirm scope, logistics and fit. Summit is also available for appropriate overflow, closeout and pavement-maintenance work after turnover.
Bid Fast, Sequence Clean, Close Out Complete
Contractors need three things from a paving sub: a bid that reflects the actual plan set, a crew that shows up inside the sequence, and a closeout that does not drag punch list items into the next project.
Send the plan set, quantities if you have them, the bid date and the schedule constraints. We confirm scope, identify assumptions and exclusions in writing, and flag the sitework interfaces — base acceptance, utility structure adjustments, curb and gutter tie-ins, subgrade proof-roll timing — that create most paving delays.
We also take appropriate overflow work when your usual sub is committed, and we handle pavement maintenance after turnover so the surface holds up through the warranty period.

We return quantities, assumptions, exclusions and any value alternates worth pricing alongside the base bid.
Sequence & Mobilize
Placement is scheduled against your sitework sequence, base readiness and the temperature window.
Punch & Close Out
Transitions, structures and markings are verified, punch items closed, and closeout documentation delivered.
Everything the Program Covers
Each service is delivered by our own crews and documented in the same reporting package.
Start with a Site Walk
We'll walk the property, scope the program, and build a plan around your budget cycle. Call for pricing — every estimate is based on the actual site, not a formula.
Program Questions
How do I send plans for a bid?
Submit the project through the bid intake form with the scope, bid date and schedule, then email the plan set to info@summit-surface.com. Referencing the project name in both keeps the takeoff and the intake record together.
What lead time do you need for a bid?
Earlier is better, particularly in peak season. Straightforward lots can be turned quickly; larger plan sets, phasing requirements and alternates need more time. Tell us the bid date when you send the plans and we will confirm whether we can hit it.
Do you take overflow work?
Yes. Overflow and capacity support is a normal part of the contractor relationship. Send the scope and the required dates and we will confirm whether the crew and schedule fit before committing.
Who is responsible for base acceptance?
That is defined in writing before mobilization. Typically the subgrade and base are prepared and proof-rolled to the specification by others, and we accept the surface in a documented walk before placement. Any deviation gets flagged rather than paved over.
Can you provide bid alternates?
Yes. Where thickness, section design, phasing or scope splits create meaningful cost differences, those alternates are priced alongside the base bid so the owner can make a real comparison.
Do you handle punch list and closeout documentation?
Yes. Transitions, structure adjustments, markings and any punch items are closed and documented, and the closeout package includes quantities and photos for the project record.
