Accessible Stalls & Access Aisles
96-inch standard stalls, 96- or 132-inch van-accessible stalls, properly sized access aisles, and diagonal hash marks that read as no-parking zones.
Slope Verification
We check every accessible stall with a 4-foot digital level. Out-of-spec stalls get cut, patched, and re-graded before striping — paint does not fix slope.

Vertical ISA signs mounted at 60+ inches (or local requirement), van-accessible designations, fine notices where local code requires them.
Accessible Route to Entrance
Crosswalk striping across drive lanes, curb cut and detectable warning surface checks, route review from the closest accessible stall to the building door.

The minimum accessible stall count required by federal ADA Standards based on the total stalls in your lot. At least 1 in 6 must be van-accessible.

How many ADA parking spaces does my lot need?
ADA Standard 208.2 sets the minimum. 1 accessible stall for the first 25 stalls, 2 for 26 to 50, scaling up to 2 percent of the lot once you exceed 500 stalls. At least one in every six accessible stalls (and never fewer than one total) must be van-accessible.
What are the ADA parking stall dimensions in 2026?
Standard accessible stall: 96 inches wide minimum with a 60-inch access aisle. Van-accessible: 96 inches wide with a 96-inch access aisle, OR 132 inches wide with a 60-inch access aisle. Both stall and aisle must have a slope no greater than 1:48 (about 2%) in any direction.
Do faded ADA stripes count as a violation?
Yes, in most jurisdictions. ADA accessible parking must be clearly identified. Once hash marks or stall boundaries aren't readable, it is treated the same as no striping at all. Most commercial lots in MT, ID, WA, ND, and SD need re-striping every 2 to 3 years.
What does an ADA violation actually cost?
Federal ADA settlements typically run $5,000 to $25,000 per documented violation, on top of remediation cost and plaintiff legal fees. The compliance fix is almost always a fraction of the settlement risk.
