Industries We Serve
Marine & Marinas
Waterfront properties demand specialized surface care. We help marinas, boat launches, and waterfront facilities maintain safe, durable surfaces that withstand constant moisture and harsh weather conditions.
Our dry ice blasting service provides chemical-free hull cleaning and facility restoration — critical in environmentally sensitive waterfront locations where chemical runoff and water discharge are regulated. Combined with our dock de-icing, ramp maintenance, and parking lot preservation programs, we provide a complete surface solution for marine operations.
Keep Your Waterfront Ready
Comprehensive surface solutions for marine and marina facilities.
Winter Operations for Waterfront Properties
Waterfront properties face unique winter challenges — dock surfaces freeze unpredictably, boat ramps become treacherous, and marina walkways accumulate ice from mist and spray that standard de-icing doesn't account for. Our salt brine pretreatment adheres to surfaces and prevents ice from bonding, even in the high-moisture environments that make waterfront winter maintenance so difficult.

Pavement & Surface Maintenance
Marina and waterfront pavement takes more punishment than typical commercial surfaces — constant moisture exposure, heavy trailer traffic, and seasonal freeze-thaw cycles all accelerate deterioration. Our sealcoating and repair programs address the specific failure patterns of waterfront pavement, including water-edge erosion, drainage grading for runoff management, and crack sealing that prevents freeze-thaw damage.

Dry Ice Blasting for Marine Environments
Marine facilities and watercraft accumulate barnacles, algae, mineral deposits, and biological growth that traditional cleaning methods struggle to remove without environmental damage. Dry ice blasting is chemical-free with zero water runoff — critical in environmentally sensitive waterfront locations where chemical and water discharge is regulated or prohibited.

Why Dry Ice Blasting for Marine
Chemical-free, zero-runoff cleaning that meets the environmental standards waterfront operations require.
No Chemical Runoff
Dry ice sublimates to gas — zero liquid waste enters the water. Critical for marina operations in environmentally regulated waterfront areas. Compliant with Clean Water Act requirements and state waterfront discharge regulations.
No Abrasive Damage
Unlike sanding or blasting, dry ice won't damage fiberglass gelcoat, aluminum surfaces, or protective coatings. Hull surfaces are cleaned without removing material from the underlying surface.
Invasive Species Compliant
Montana and Idaho have strict aquatic invasive species (AIS) regulations. Dry ice blasting removes zebra mussels and other invasive organisms without spreading contaminants or requiring chemical treatments that may affect local waterways.
Immediate Surface Access
No drying time required after cleaning. Surfaces are ready for paint, coating, or use immediately — reducing haul-out time and dock occupancy for marina customers.
We Clean Every Type of Vessel
From personal watercraft to commercial vessels — chemical-free, abrasion-free hull and surface cleaning.
Built for Waterfront Needs
Marina-Ready Surfaces
Pristine docks, ramps, and walkways that welcome boaters and visitors. Safe, well-maintained facilities attract and retain marina tenants and boat storage customers.
Waterfront Durability
Surfaces treated to withstand constant moisture, spray, UV exposure, and the unique corrosion patterns of waterfront environments. Our materials and methods account for the accelerated deterioration that moisture proximity causes.
Full-Service Marine Cleaning
From hull cleaning to dock restoration, we handle everything that touches water or sits near it. Chemical-free cleaning means no environmental compliance headaches for marina operators.
Safe Launch Areas
Properly treated ramps and staging areas ensure safe, year-round boat launching. Slip-and-fall claims at boat launches are common — documented anti-icing treatment is your best defense.
Environmental Responsibility
Zero chemical runoff, zero water waste, zero abrasive residue. Our dry ice blasting process leaves nothing in the environment except the contaminants we remove — which are captured and disposed of properly.
Reduced Downtime
Dry ice blasting is faster than sanding and leaves surfaces immediately ready for paint or coating. This means shorter haul-out times, faster turnaround for seasonal prep, and less dock space occupied by boats in maintenance.
Questions from Marina Operators & Boat Owners
Is dry ice blasting safe for fiberglass boat hulls?
Yes. Dry ice blasting is non-abrasive — the pellets are softer than most surface materials and rely on thermal shock and kinetic energy to dislodge contaminants, not abrasion. It's widely used in marine restoration specifically because it won't damage fiberglass gelcoat, aluminum, or steel surfaces. We calibrate pressure and pellet size to each surface type.
Can you clean boat hulls at my marina without chemical runoff?
Yes — that's one of the primary advantages. Dry ice sublimates to CO₂ gas on contact, producing zero liquid waste. Only the dislodged contaminants remain, and those are captured and disposed of properly. This makes dry ice blasting ideal for environmentally sensitive waterfront locations where chemical and water discharge is regulated.
Do you handle zebra mussel removal?
Yes. Zebra mussel removal is a specific application dry ice blasting handles very well. The thermal and kinetic action dislodges the mussels and byssal threads without chemical residue. This is important for compliance with Montana and Idaho aquatic invasive species regulations, which restrict the methods and chemicals that can be used near waterways.
How does waterfront pavement maintenance differ from standard commercial?
Waterfront pavement faces constant moisture exposure, spray-induced salt and mineral deposits, and accelerated freeze-thaw cycles from higher surface moisture content. We use materials and methods designed for these conditions, including enhanced sealcoating application rates, more frequent crack sealing schedules, and drainage corrections that account for proximity to water.
Can you maintain boat storage yard pavement?
Yes. Boat storage yards have unique pavement requirements — heavy trailer traffic, jack stand point loads, and seasonal use patterns. We sealcoat, repair, and stripe storage yards with consideration for these factors, including reinforced treatment at trailer traffic lanes and jack stand positioning areas.
What's the best time for seasonal hull cleaning?
Pre-launch (spring) and post-haul (fall) are the most popular windows. Pre-launch cleaning puts you on the water faster with a clean hull ready for bottom paint. Post-haul cleaning prevents marine growth from hardening during winter storage, making spring prep faster and easier.
Do you travel to private docks and residential waterfront?
Yes. We bring equipment to marinas, boat storage yards, private docks, and residential waterfront properties. For boats on trailers, we can service at your home. Contact us with your location and we'll confirm service availability.
How does de-icing work on dock surfaces?
Salt brine is applied as a pretreatment before freezing conditions. It adheres to the dock surface and prevents ice from bonding — even on wood, concrete, and composite decking materials. This is more effective than reactive rock salt application, which bounces off elevated surfaces and creates uneven coverage.
