    How much brine do I need per lane mile?

    Typical application rates are 30–50 gallons per lane mile for anti-icing pretreatment and 50–80 gallons per lane mile for direct de-icing application.     Is salt brine safe for concrete and bridge decks?

    Salt brine uses the same sodium chloride as rock salt but in lower concentrations per application. For concrete and bridge decks, we recommend enhanced monitoring and can blend inhibited brine with corrosion-reducing additives. The lower total chloride exposure compared to granular salt generally results in less infrastructure damage over time.

    Do you produce brine year-round?
