Ask every prospective supplier or applicator to define the same scope. A low material quote may exclude freight, storage, equipment, calibration, application labor, event documentation, cleanup, or post-season maintenance.
Material specification
Confirm the product name, current technical bulletin and SDS, mix basis, and manufacturer handling guidance.
Quantity and delivery
Confirm purchased quantity, packaging, freight, receiving access, unloading responsibility, and any deposits or exclusions.
Storage and equipment
Identify tanks, pumps, application equipment, calibration, rinsing, maintenance, and ownership responsibilities.
Weather and timing
Define who decides whether conditions are appropriate and how timing, route access, and event changes are communicated.
Application records
Confirm what is documented, who retains the records, and whether the reporting format fits the buyer’s requirements.
Total quote
Compare material, freight, equipment, labor, taxes, exclusions, and any additional charges on the same basis.
