Parking Lot Striping & Line Marking
Clear, crisp parking lot markings do more than look professional — they direct traffic flow, ensure ADA compliance, and reduce your liability exposure. We handle everything from full re-stripes to custom stenciling across our five-state territory.
Complete Striping Services
From basic re-stripes to full parking lot layouts with ADA compliance.
Stay Compliant, Stay Protected
Non-compliant parking lots face federal fines starting at $75,000. We ensure your lot meets every requirement.
Accessible Space Count
We calculate the exact number of ADA spaces required based on your total lot capacity and ensure proper placement near building entrances.
Van-Accessible Stalls
At least one in every six accessible spaces must be van-accessible with an 8-foot access aisle. We mark and sign every stall to spec.
Bundle Sealcoating + Striping
Most clients pair striping with sealcoating for the best results and biggest savings. Fresh sealcoat provides the ideal surface for crisp, long-lasting lines.
Line Striping Questions
How long does parking lot striping last?
Professionally applied traffic paint typically lasts 1–2 years depending on traffic volume. Thermoplastic markings last 3–5 years. We recommend re-striping annually for high-traffic commercial lots to maintain visibility and ADA compliance.
What are the ADA requirements for parking lot striping?
ADA requires specific numbers of accessible spaces based on total lot capacity, van-accessible stalls with 8-foot access aisles, proper signage at 60 inches minimum height, and blue/white color coding. Non-compliant lots face fines starting at $75,000. We ensure every lot meets current ADA standards.
How long after sealcoating can you stripe?
We typically wait 24–48 hours after sealcoating before applying striping, depending on temperature and humidity. This ensures the sealcoat has fully cured for optimal paint adhesion and longevity.
What type of paint do you use for striping?
We use DOT-spec water-based traffic paint for standard applications and thermoplastic for high-traffic areas requiring maximum durability. Both options are fast-drying, highly reflective, and meet federal highway specifications.
How much does parking lot striping cost?
Standard re-striping runs $0.20–$0.50 per linear foot for standard lines. New layout design and striping typically costs $0.50–$1.00 per linear foot. ADA stalls run $50–$150 each including the access aisle and signage. Contact us for a free estimate.

How Striping Is Scoped
Striping is quoted by stall count, linear footage, and layout complexity. Whether you're restriping an existing layout or laying out a new one is the biggest fork in the price.
Restripe vs. new layout
Painting over a visible existing layout is fast. A new layout means measuring, chalking, and setting every line from scratch — often doubling the on-site time for the same lot.
- Raises cost
- Raises cost: New layout, changed stall angles, reconfigured traffic flow
- Keeps cost down
- Keeps cost down: Restriping a layout that's still clearly visible
Stall count & linear footage
The base measure of any striping job. Angled stalls consume more paint per space than 90-degree stalls, and double-line stalls add roughly half again the footage.
- Raises cost
- Raises cost: High stall counts, angled or double-line layouts
- Keeps cost down
- Keeps cost down: Straight 90-degree single-line stalls
ADA & compliance markings
Accessible stalls, access aisles, and the associated signage and bollards carry specific dimensional requirements. Older lots frequently need stalls added or relocated to meet current standards.
- Raises cost
- Raises cost: Adding or relocating ADA stalls, new signage and bollard installs
- Keeps cost down
- Keeps cost down: Refreshing ADA markings that already meet code
Stencils & specialty markings
Arrows, fire lanes, EV and reserved stalls, crosswalks, loading zones, and custom logos are each priced per marking on top of the base stall work.
- Raises cost
- Raises cost: Heavy stencil work, fire lane lettering, custom logos, crosswalks
- Keeps cost down
- Keeps cost down: Stalls and basic directional arrows only
Paint system & durability
Standard traffic paint is the baseline. High-build, thermoplastic, and reflective systems cost more up front and last substantially longer under plow traffic and Montana winters.
- Raises cost
- Raises cost: Thermoplastic, high-build, or reflective bead systems
- Keeps cost down
- Keeps cost down: Standard waterborne traffic paint on a regular refresh cycle
