How Dust Control Is Scoped
Dust control and road stabilization are quoted by treated area and application frequency. These are the factors that set how much material a road needs and how often we come back.

What is a dust control and road stabilization program?
It is a scheduled, season-long approach rather than a one-time spray. Roads are inventoried and rated, product and application rates are set per segment, applications are timed to the grading cycle, and reapplication is scheduled based on observed performance — all documented with maps and rates.
Why non-chloride instead of magnesium or calcium chloride?
Chloride products rely on pulling moisture from the air, so they underperform in dry conditions, and they wash off during rain events. They also corrode vehicles, equipment, and infrastructure. Non-chloride binders lock fines into the surface without those trade-offs, which suits fleet-heavy operations and long-term road performance.
How many applications does a season usually take?
Most programs run an early-season application after the first good grading, followed by one or more touch-ups depending on traffic volume, weather, and how the surface holds. High-traffic haul routes need more frequent attention than low-volume access roads.
Does stabilization actually reduce grading costs?
That is the primary financial argument for it. Binding the fines keeps the surface cohesive so the aggregate stays in the driving lane instead of migrating to the shoulders. Operations that treat on schedule typically grade less often and replace less material.
What conditions do you need to apply?
A freshly graded surface with adequate moisture and stable weather. We avoid active rain, imminent heavy rain, freezing temperatures, and extreme wind. If conditions turn, we reschedule rather than risk poor penetration or wash-off.
Can you handle multi-site or county-wide scopes?
Yes. We run programs spanning multiple roads, yards, and sites, with a consolidated inventory, one schedule, and unified reporting. Public agency scopes can be delivered with procurement-ready documentation.

How is a program priced?

How long does one application last?
A properly applied treatment on a freshly graded surface typically holds through a large part of the season, but the honest answer is that it depends on traffic counts, vehicle weight, aggregate quality, and rainfall. Haul roads under constant loaded-truck traffic need touch-ups sooner than low-volume subdivision or access roads.
Is the product safe around water, livestock, and crops?
The non-chloride binders we use are selected for low environmental impact and are appropriate near ditches, waterways, pasture, and cropland — one of the main reasons agricultural and county clients move off chloride products. Product data sheets are provided with the program documentation for your records.
Do you handle the grading, or only the application?
Applications are coordinated with grading rather than replacing it. Many clients grade with their own equipment and schedule us behind the blade; where a client has no grading capability, we coordinate the prep so the surface is shaped and moisture-conditioned before the binder goes down.
Can dust control satisfy an air-quality or permit requirement?
Frequently, yes. Mine, quarry, energy, and construction sites often carry fugitive-dust obligations, and the program's application maps, rates, dates, and photo logs are built to serve as the compliance record.
